Developing the Young Workforce Glasgow

Developing Young Workforce Glasgow (DYWG), operating as part of Glasgow Chamber of Commerce (GCoC), have commissioned the Fraser of Allander Institute (FAI) and the Scottish Centre for Employment Research (SCER) at the University of Strathclyde to review skills demand and supply in Glasgow.

The aim of this research is to understand the match between skills supply and demand across Glasgow, and identify how engagement between business and skills systems can develop the young workforce. The results will help to provide an evidence base for the next stages of Glasgow Employer Board (GEB) and DYWG project activity, and help inform the delivery of the City Region's ambitions for sustainable economic growth and the development of a more inclusive workforce.
