Innovating Works...
...Improving work and workplaces

About Us

How can you get involved?

From our base at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, we’re getting more people, businesses and other organisations involved in open, collaborative discussions around engaging workers at all levels (including management) in thinking about the potential for innovating in their jobs, work groups, departments and beyond. Becoming involved in these discussions can take many forms:

  • SMEs working with the Innovating Works… team to identify where to focus their efforts for emerging workplace innovations
  • SMEs, Workplace Innovators and stakeholders attending our target events
  • Innovation researchers looking to collaborate with other innovation researchers
  • SMEs and innovation researchers collaborating in productive organisational change that promotes improved quality of work

We are offering 3 fully-funded PhD Studentships on 'Fair, Innovative and Transformative Work'.

The Scottish Centre for Employment Research and Department for Human Resource Management at Strathclyde Business School offers three fully-funded PhD Studentships around the theme of ‘Fair, Innovative and Transformative Work’.  All three studentships are funded full-time from October 2015. Studentships cover UK/EU tuition fees plus an annual stipend (currently paid at £14,057 for 2015/16, not subject to tax).  We want to recruit three doctoral researchers to join a growing research team investigating this exciting and cutting-edge area of workplace research.   More details.

Innovating Works… is about collaboration and learning from each other. If this sounds exciting and you would like to get involved, please get in touch on sbs-workplaceinnovation@strath.ac.uk.
